Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company in Florida City is seeking a Senior Reactor Operator – License Class to prepare for Unit Supervisor duties. The program includes NRC SRO licensing, classroom and hands-on training, and leadership development for degreed engineers and qualified operators.

Successful candidates will progress through the SRO and STA programs, apply knowledge to supervise shifts, maintain safety, and coordinate with regulatory requirements, with relocation support as applicable.

Qualifications

• SRO license or equivalent NRC credential required.
• BS in engineering or science per regulatory guidance.
• Experience or training in licensed operator programs.

Responsibilities

• Completes the SRO/STA training program for degreed engineers.
• Develops planning, organizing, and directing skills.
• Practices controlling shift operations.
• Maintains knowledge of plant operating conditions and limitations.
• Performs supervisory duties while training for license expansion.
• Progresses to pass NRC SRO exam and program completion.
• Completes and passes any additional training or events.
