Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking candidates to train and prepare as an Operations Shift Supervisor with a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license track. The program culminates in NRC licensing to supervise licensed reactor operators in the control room, with supervision of bargaining unit operators and equipment operators.

Ideal candidates have Navy Nuke backgrounds (ETs preferred) and prior supervisory experience. They will navigate two qualification pathways based on military service and associated NEC

Qualifications

• Navy Nuke Background, primarily ETs, is the ideal fit.
• Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience.
• Complete Plant Operator Selection System (POSS), Basic Math and Science Test (BMST), and FLS (First Line Supervisor) assessment.

Responsibilities

• Train and prepare to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor who holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License.
• Upon completion of training, be fully licensed by the NRC to supervise the licensed activities in the reactor control room.

Position Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to train and prepare to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor who holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License. Upon completion of training the candidate will be fully licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to supervise the licensed activities of licensed reactor operators in the reactor control room. They will also be trained to directly supervise bargaining unit reactor operators and equipment operators generally.
