Qualifications

• Nuclear Operations Tech I requires HS diploma or GED.
• RO/SRO license experience or naval nuclear background or engineering degree.
• Must be able to obtain nuclear access.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an active member of station Fire Brigade.
• Report on system status using computerized rounds to keep supervision informed.
• Start and stop plant equipment as directed by operating procedures.
• Perform tests and checks on operability of system components (e.g., leakage).
• Isolate and restore equipment.
• Outdoor surveillance required year-round on both day and night shift.
• Progress toward AO to RO to SRO through training and licensing.
