Job summary

Xcel Energy, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Operations Procedure Writer responsible for preparing, maintaining, and reviewing procedures. You will ensure accuracy, regulatory conformance, and safe implementation of operational practices across plant teams.

The role requires experience with nuclear procedures, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work with procedure writers. SRO qualification is encouraged and access to the plant is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Understanding of reactor operations and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with regulatory screening processes (10 CFR 50.59/72.48).
• Preference for Senior Reactor Operator certification or qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and review Nuclear Operations procedures.
• Identify and implement corrective actions for procedure performance issues.
• Define task steps and write clear, compliant operating procedures.
• Serve as SME on procedure processing and change requests.
• Pursue continual development and SRO qualification when requested.
