Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/CT Technologist to perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in Aurora, CO. The role supports comprehensive imaging services within Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, following established safety and quality standards.

This full-time position offers a 72-hour biweekly schedule, daytime shifts, and a pay rate of $60 per hour plus a travel stipend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or ARRT NM certification.
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross, valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders; schedules and educates patient about procedures.
• Prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals per protocols and regulations; monitors patient status.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; performs QC and reports malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results; resolves image quality issues; enters and transmits scan results.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Summary

• Performsnuclear medicine imaging and therapyin accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Orders, prepares, administers, storesand disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards.Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certified as a Technologist (RT) and certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

CT Technologist

• Reviews patient history, initiates Computed Tomography images based on physician order and prioritizes procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation
• Safely administers contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition
• Responds and reports changes in patient condition as appropriate
• implements techniques to yield clarity in image, quality control and equipment functionality based on established best practices in Radiology (AART)
• May perform 3-D post processing while entering, transmitting and reporting scan results
