Job summary

Community Health Systems invites applications for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision, handling radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring radiation safety to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requires NRC/state licensure and nuclear medicine credentials; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance offered, with comprehensive benefits and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of nuclear medicine experience required
• 2–4 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in-state required
• Nuclear medicine certifications required/compliant

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies per physician orders
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols
• Assess patient condition before procedures and verify IDs
• Operate and calibrate imaging equipment including gamma cameras and PET scanners
• Maintain documentation for NRC/state regulatory compliance
• Ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of radioactive materials
• Document procedures and interactions in the EMR
• Collaborate with Radiologists, Cardiologists and vendors to update protocols
