Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate imaging and deliver high-quality diagnostic studies. This role requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work within the department’s protocols.

The technologist will verify orders, obtain patient history, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, perform imaging, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• ARRT-R or CNMT certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies proper clinician order and patient identity.
• Obtains complete clinical history and assesses contraindications.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals per protocol while ensuring safety.
• Reviews images for quality and releases patients.
• Maintains equipment and supports other technologists as needed.
• Keeps documentation clear and compliant with procedures.
