Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs nuclear medicine procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.

Essential tasks include high quality multimodality procedures, patient communication using AIDET, safe operation of imaging equipment, and precise documentation to maintain patient records.

Qualifications

• NMTCB and MRT certifications required.
• Experience with multimodality imaging and radiology workflow beneficial.
• Ability to follow established protocols and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality multimodality nuclear medicine procedures according to exam protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients and establish rapport using AIDET.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and work area according to standards.
• Ensure patient safety and screen for eligibility as required.
