Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to prepare, calibrate and administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician supervision. The role uses Gamma Camera Imaging equipment to obtain images and measurements for patient care.

The position requires Florida licensure in Nuclear Medicine, BLS within 30 days, and a graduate credential from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Florida State License Nuclear Medicine required.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or ARRT (N) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Physician, prepares, calibrates, logs and administers radioactive isotopes for procedures.
• Operates Gamma Camera Imaging equipment and related systems to image isotope distribution in body regions.
• Deliver care to a wide age range of patients with appropriate attention to developmental needs.
• Support department goals and align with the hospital mission.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Physician, prepares, calibrates, logs and administers radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures. Operates Gamma Camera Imaging equipment, computers and other isotope sensitive equipment to obtain a visual representation or measurement of isotope concentrations in specific body areas/organs. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Osceola regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with core values. The employee shall support HCA Florida Osceola Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Florida State License Nuclear Medicine required
