Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN)
Location: Medical Center - 600 Medical Center Drive, Newton, KS, 67114
Category: IMAGING

We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) for our Imaging Department. In this role, you will provide customer service with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of delivering care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision making is expected in the execution of all duties. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist may be assigned to be in charge of a modality and able to delegate patient care assignments and duties based on the ability of co-workers.

This position reports to the Imaging Department Medical Director.

This position is hourly (non-exempt) - possibly opening Monday service and assisting with PTO/LOA needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional training or education.
  • Graduated from an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Registered by ARRT in Radiologic Technology and/or Registered Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine Radiation Safety regulations preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must utilize clinical skills and critical thinking to assess, plan, provide, delegate, supervise, manage, and elevate patient care.

Licensure, registration or certification:

  • Current ARRT Registered or CNMT.
  • Current Radiologic Technologist Licensure by the State of Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
  • Certification in CPR/BLS.
  • There may be additional Registries necessary dependent on the modality assigned.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience preferred.
