Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist produces diagnostic images per ARRT and NMTCB standards, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring patient care quality. Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing procedures, and maintaining radiation safety.

  • Participate in patient care, produce high-quality scans, and follow protocols.
  • Operate imaging equipment efficiently.
  • Perform and communicate findings of radioactive procedures.
  • Follow radiation safety practices, explain procedures to patients, and ensure privacy and dignity.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate from an accredited radiology or nuclear medicine program.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • 2-3 years radiologic tech experience preferred.
Licenses and Certificates
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT post-primary certification.
  • Transportation of Hazardous Radioactive Material certification.
  • BLS certification.
