Medical City Arlington seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to perform nuclear medicine procedures in alignment with state and department protocols. The role collaborates with the Imaging leadership to improve patient flow and educational support for staff.

Prioritization and clear communication are essential to meet daily productivity goals. The candidate should be CNMT or equivalent certification, with RT/Radiography licensure and vocational training.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Experience with Nuclear Medicine procedures and ICU/Stroke/Cardiac services is preferred.
• Valid Texas radiology or nuclear medicine licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures per state and department protocols.
• Provide leadership and support to technical staff and collaborate with leadership.
• Maintain daily productivity and quality assurance standards.
• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines; communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Access secure drug and biological storage areas as needed for duties.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nuclear Medicine Tech works in conjunction with the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, Imaging Manager, Director and Medical Staff to improve the patient and work flow via providing support, education and leadership to the technical staff. Supports the mission and vision of the Medical Center of Arlington. Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as outlined by the State of Texas and departmental protocols, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.

• Responsible for the customer needs of the Nuclear Medicine area of the Imaging Department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
• Collaborates with other department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives.
• Maintains and achieves daily productivity and quality assurance standards set by management.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Vocational School Graduate
• (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (NMT) Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (NCT) Nuclear Cardiology Technologist, or NMTCB (RS) Radiation Safety
