Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform and assist with nuclear medicine studies in a patient‑focused environment. The position concentrates on safety, accuracy, and high quality care while following federal and state regulations.

You will prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals, ensure correct patient identification, and maintain required equipment and QC procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist required with active credentials.
• BCLS certification required.
• NJ Department of Health radiologic license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Record patient charges into RIS and track procedures using SMS, PACS, RMS and NMIS downtime protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure a positive healthcare experience.
• Monitor radiation safety and verify patient identity using two identifiers before procedures.
• Maintain QA/QC records and manage radioisotope logs per regulatory requirements.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment and protective gear for examinations and assist with patient positioning.
