Advocate Health in Stanly County, NC is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to assist in radiology procedures. The role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring radiation safety, and documenting dose information for each study.

The ideal candidate will be registered (ARRT N or NMTCB), have a Nuclear Medicine Technology program, and BLS certification, with preferred patient-care experience. This PRN position is in a hospital setting with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of formal Nuclear Medicine Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility.
• Registered by ARRT (N) or NMTCB, and must be registry eligible if a new graduate.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers and documents diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Adheres to department radiation safety practices.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner.
• Obtains brief patient history and records all pertinent information for finished exams.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares patient for procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and families.
• Performs organ concentration and excretion measurements to provide diagnostic information.
