Job summary

The role requires ARRT (N) or NMTCB registration, BLS, and a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. You will work closely with physicians, technologists, and nurses to ensure safe, effective imaging exams.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT/NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Registry eligibility required for new graduates, with completion within 12 months.
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB registration required; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, administers and documents diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under supervision.
  • Adheres to department radiation safety practices.
  • Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials for administration by licensed staff.
  • Obtains brief patient history and records dose information, patient data, dates and views.
  • Verifies patient identity and prepares for the procedure.
  • Explains the procedure to the patient and family members.
  • Performs organ concentration and excretion measurements for diagnostic info.
  • Maintains ongoing self-study to stay current with radiopharmaceutical techniques.
