Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for day shifts across KUCC locations including Overland Park. You will perform gamma camera and PET-based imaging, ensure patient safety and prepare accurate diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities include coordinating examinations, operating imaging equipment, on-call readiness, and supporting education of students and staff within the division.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Training Program.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification with registry eligibility.
• CT experience or credentialing may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Uses gamma cameras, PET scanners and uptake probes to produce physiological functional images.
• Coordinates examinations in efficient order to minimize patient stay.
• Maintains and calibrates imaging equipment and reports malfunctions promptly.
• Interacts with physicians and staff to provide safe, quality care.
• Provides patient education and ensures correct patient positioning and preparation.
