Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to operate gamma cameras, PET scanners, and related equipment at KUCC locations including East Lee's Summit, North and Overland Park. The role requires direct patient interaction, precision in imaging, and on-call availability for after-hours coverage.

Responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, coordinating exams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Training Program.
• 1+ year experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Bachelor’s degree related to technical or managerial performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate gamma cameras, PET scanners and uptake probes to produce physiological functional images and quantitative data.
• Coordinate examinations to minimize patient stay in hospital.
• Maintain equipment and perform calibrations; report malfunctions.
• Inject radiopharmaceuticals intravenously and/or orally for examinations.
• Be on-call for evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
