Job summary

AccessHealth in Minnesota is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical preparation, administration, and imaging. You will work under physician direction, ensuring accuracy and safety.

The role requires completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program or radiologic technology training, ARRT or CNMT/NMTBC certification, and at least one year of radiologic experience.

Qualifications

  • ARRT or CNMT/NMTBC certification.
  • At least one year of radiologic technologist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic principles and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

  • Performing quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations on diverse patient populations.
  • Operating cameras and PET/CT systems safely and accurately.
  • Preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals as directed by physicians.
  • Ensuring radiation safety, quality assurance, and complying with NRC regulations.
  • Collecting patient data, analyzing results, and providing high-quality images for diagnosis.
  • Possibly performing PET/CT scans after training, with understanding of related procedures.
  • Providing patient education and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Job description

Key Duties Include
  • Performing quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations on diverse patient populations.
  • Operating equipment safely and accurately, including cameras and PET/CT systems.
  • Preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals as directed by physicians.
  • Ensuring radiation safety, maintaining quality assurance, and complying with NRC regulations.
  • Collecting patient data, analyzing results, and providing high-quality images for diagnosis.
  • Possibly performing PET/CT scans after training, with understanding of related procedures.
  • Providing patient education and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications Include
  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program or radiologic technology training.
  • Certification by ARRT or CNMT/NMTBC.
  • At least one year of radiologic technologist experience if not a recent graduate.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic principles, radiation protection, and quality control.
