Qualifications

• Documented training and experience in Nuclear Medicine.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT RT(N) or NMTCB CNMT certification.
• Massachusetts Nuclear Medicine license.
• SPECT-CT endorsement or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collects information by interview from patient and staff to ensure procedure appropriateness.
• Documents all patient doses accurately.
• Prepares room and patient for procedures with needed equipment.
• Identifies oneself to the patient before the procedure.
• Performs quality control on imaging equipment.
• Receives and documents radio-pharmaceuticals per state regulations.
• Maintains infection control and aseptic technique.
• Demonstrates ability to schedule exams for optimal patient flow.
• Performs radiation surveys and wipe tests with 100% accuracy.
• Ensures proper labeling of all doses before administration.
