Join Our Team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Part-Time)

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform radionuclide procedures, including organ imaging and function studies, and assist physicians with therapeutic use of radioisotopes under safety guidelines.
  • Select and operate Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed.
  • Ensure radiation protection for yourself and patients, following safety protocols.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive tracer compounds.
  • Calibrate equipment and assay radionuclides.
  • Inspect radiopharmaceutical packages according to regulations.
  • Maintain records of radioisotope receipt, use, storage, and disposal, complying with regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and contamination-free conditions of rooms and equipment.
  • Follow NRC, State DEP, and JCAHO guidelines and practices.
  • Evaluate images using PACS workstation for diagnostic quality.
  • Rotate assignments in Nuclear Cardiology and PET/CT as needed.
  • Perform clerical duties including using EPIC, PACS, and other systems for patient studies.
  • Be responsible for scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, and participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Greet patients and adhere to A.I.D.E.T. standards.
  • Modify and deliver care based on patient needs, considering age, culture, and communication barriers.
  • Follow organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Preferred:
  • Minimum of one year of Nuclear Medicine experience.
Licenses and Certifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Nuclear Medical Technologist License.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) Certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift at least 25 lbs., push and pull at least 50 lbs., stand for a minimum of 6 hours daily.
