Position Summary

Shift: PRN, day shift 7am-3:30pm

Performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and operating cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
2. Positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical factors accurately.
3. Ordering, preparing, administering, and disposing of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
4. Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
5. Ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history.
6. Ensuring equipment is properly functioning, reporting issues or malfunctions to appropriate personnel, and locking/tagging out equipment if necessary.
7. Assisting in maintaining a clean and orderly department.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.

Certifications/Licenses:

• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire; ARC CPR for Professional Rescuers accepted upon hire with renewal to BLS Provider from AHA.
• One or more of the following:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from NMTCB obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from ARRT obtained within 12 months of hire.
