Job summary

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Nuclear Medicine team.

Under general supervision, the Technologist administers radioactive materials to perform imaging and dynamic studies aiding physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Duties include preparing isotopes and operating imaging equipment, with a focus on quality and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.
  • 1 year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience preferred but not required.
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification at hire.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nuclear techniques/equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer radioactive materials to perform imaging and dynamic function studies.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes and operate Nuclear Imaging equipment.
  • Support physicians in diagnosis and treatment through accurate imaging and data handling.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to department and hospital policies.

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST to join our NUCLEAR MEDICINE team!

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials in order to perform imaging and dynamic function studies necessary in order to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Prepares radioactive isotopes, operates Nuclear Imaging and performs a variety of nuclear tests. Complies with performance measures/activities to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy, mission and values.

HOURS: 1.0 FTE/80 hours every two weeks working days (7am to 330pm), Monday-Friday

Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.
  • One-year clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist necessary to enhance and develop skills preferred but not required
  • Possesses and maintains ARRT(N) or NMTCB at hire.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nuclear techniques, procedures and equipment such as planar imaging, S.P.E.C.T. imaging, nuclear cardiology and computer processing.
  • Demonstrates mature judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum of supervision.
  • Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality with regard to the operation and interaction of the department and the hospital.
