Department: University Hospital | Nuclear Medicine Lab
The Nuclear Medicine/PET Division includes imaging rooms located in University Hospital, East Hospital, and The James Cancer Hospital. These rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art PET/CT, SPECT/CT cameras. The technologist works closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical scientists to provide high-quality imaging for patient care and treatment.
The Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Technologist performs nuclear medicine In vivo and In vitro procedures using advanced radiation-detecting equipment (including SPECT and PET). They handle computer processing, image enhancement, and provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, under the supervision of Nuclear Medicine Radiologists, the Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Supervisor, and Imaging Services Leadership.
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography, Nuclear Technologist, and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board registration. Current Ohio Department of Health Radiology Licensure. No relevant experience required; 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
