Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Vernon Hills is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and operate imaging units. Responsibilities include patient instruction, proper positioning, and dosage administration for imaging studies.

Requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program, ARRT or NMTCB certification, IEMA license, and proficiency in patient handling and body mechanics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with knowledge of radioisotopes.
• Current ARRT or NMTCB certification.
• Illinois IEMA license.
• Experience with body mechanics and patient handling.
• Ability to explain procedures to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and operate units.
• Explain examination procedures to patients and provide instructions.
• Assist patients onto/off imaging table and position them as needed.
• Monitor patients and report critical changes to Radiologist.
• Administer radioisotope doses and document dosages per policy.
