Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • ARRT or NMTCB registry (or registry-eligible and registered within 12 months from hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals and records dose and route.
  • Describes exam to patient and collects consent; inputs patient data for study and charges.
  • Performs patient assessment and confirms pregnancy test requirements as ordered.
  • May perform advanced duties in PET imaging or lead technologist role.
  • Handles radiopharmaceuticals per Radiation Safety Office and NRC guidelines.
  • Reviews dosage, quality control, and records dose data.
  • Sets up acquisitions, ensures patient comfort, analyzes images, and submits for physician review.
  • Uses RIS, CIS, SMS and PACS to generate documentation and charges; coordinates patient transport.
