Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in a state-of-the-art facility near Atlanta. You will calibrate and administer radioactive materials, educate patients, and ensure safety and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include lymphoscintigraphy and other specialized studies, along with on-call coverage as required. ARRT/NMTCB certification and BLS are required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program and certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT or NMTCB).
  • Or eligible for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer with required education.
  • Must hold American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Review physician orders for accuracy and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare, calibrate, and administer radioactive materials per safety procedures.
  • Perform imaging, including specialized procedures (e.g., lymphoscintigraphy, Y90 embolization).
  • Educate patients and obtain informed consent per policy.
  • Document findings, enters patient charges, and monitor patient condition.
  • Follow department safety guidelines and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

Education

Nuclear Medicine Technology program graduate
Associate’s Degree or higher
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Tools

ARRT or NMTCB certification
