Job summary

MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a PRN role with potential full-time opportunities in Hollywood, MD. The incumbent will perform diagnostic imaging using radiopharmaceuticals, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires 2+ years of nuclear medicine experience, CNMT or ARRT(N) certification on hire, BLS, and MD/VA licensure for outpatient locations.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
2+ years of nuclear medicine experience required.
CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required upon hire.
BLS certification required upon hire.
Maryland or Virginia state license required upon hire (outpatient locations).

Responsibilities

Demonstrates basic clinical competency in nuclear medicine across locations and patient populations; prepares radiopharmaceuticals and performs imaging.
Maintains safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance in the Hot Lab and imaging areas.
Verifies orders, prepares patients, and communicates to ensure understanding and comfort; documents in EHR.
Distributes final images to PACS and nuclear medicine systems promptly for interpretation.
