Job summary

Northwest Health La Porte is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging equipment, and maintain radiation safety with accurate EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience performing nuclear medicine procedures in a clinical or hospital setting required.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies, following physician orders.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals intravenously or orally, adhering to safety protocols.
• Operates and calibrates nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners.
• Maintains documentation for NRC/state regulatory compliance and quality control.
• Ensures proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Documents procedures and patient interactions in the EMR and communicates with patients.
