Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work under a Radiologist, mastering imaging procedures with isotopes and applying safety protocols to deliver diagnostic results.

You will engage patients, prepare rooms and isotopes, calibrate equipment, and process images for RIS/PACS accuracy while supporting the Radiology team and upholding ALARA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be registered (or registry eligible) in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT and/or NMTCB.
• Registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
• Maintain required hours of continued medical education and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients by explaining examination procedures and preparing them for imaging.
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Prepare prescribed radioactive isotopes for safe patient administration and calibrate detection equipment.
• Perform imaging procedures with ALARA principles and post-process images for diagnostic quality.
• Complete RIS entries and verify PACS delivery with accurate study documentation.
• Assist Radiologist in advanced diagnostic procedures and ensure proper patient care.
