Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Part-time Nuclear Medicine Technician to support radiology procedures in the imaging department.

You will work under a Radiologist, perform isotope-based imaging, ensure patient safety, and follow department protocols. The schedule is 28 hours per week with afternoons 11:00a-7:30p, occasional 3:00p-11:30p, and some weekends/holidays.

Schedule: Part Time, 28 hours per week, afternoon shift, primarily 11:00a-7:30p, with an occasional 3:00p-1130p, some weekends and holidays.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the direction of a Radiologist, specializes in the performance of procedures using various isotopes for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
  degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or
  job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
