Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist to assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role involves patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, and operating nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic images.

Candidates must graduate from an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program and hold CNMT or RT(N) credentials or be registry eligible with certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program is required.
• 0-2 years of modality-specific experience.
• CNMT or RT(N) from ARRT or registry eligible with certification within 12 months preferred.
• SCRQSA licensure required.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications as ordered by the physician.
• Provide quality care to pediatric through adult patients with professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking.
• Support physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
