Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. You will perform prescribed nuclear medicine procedures, educate patients, and ensure high-quality imaging while adhering to safety and confidentiality policies.

The role requires ARRT NM or NMTCB certification and 2 years of experience, with BLS. Registry/Per Diem positions offer flexible, assignment-based hours within Banner Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Requires national certification from ARRT Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB; licensure if applicable and BLS.
• Two years of clinical radiology/nuclear medicine experience; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs prescribed nuclear medicine procedures following orders and policies.
• Educates patients and families about procedures and treatments.
• Produces high-quality images and maintains accurate documentation.
• Maintains equipment QC and ALARA safety practices.
• Ensures confidentiality and ethical handling of patient information.
• Supports efficient department workflow and inventory management.
• Works with medical imaging and nursing teams; adheres to safety protocols.
