Job summary

Great River Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare, administer, and measure radioisotopes for therapeutic and diagnostic studies. You will operate Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT equipment to demonstrate anatomical or physiological structures for diagnostic purposes.

You will produce quality images as directed by radiologists and physicians, ensuring knowledge of anatomy, radiation safety, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
• 1-3 years Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• ARRT, NMTCB, or IDPH credentials required.
• BLS required.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously under physician supervision.
• Map radiopharmaceuticals in patients using gamma camera or PET/CT.
• Record radiation dosage and radiopharmaceutical usage per physician prescription.
• Process cardiac and other function studies using computer.
• Perform quality control checks on Nuclear Medicine & PET/CT imaging equipment.
• Maintain detailed procedure records.
• Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and lab equipment.
• Dispose of radioactive materials following safety procedures.
• Prepare stock radiopharmaceuticals adhering to safety standards.
