RWJBarnabas Health in Somerville, NJ is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Radiology-PET department. Day shift, 40 hours weekly, with a $12,000 Sign-On Bonus for external applicants.

The position requires NJ state license and ARRT/NMTCB certification; PET experience is a plus and hospital staff technologist experience is preferred. Competitive benefits within a leading health system are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• PET Experience a Plus
• Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist

Responsibilities

• Performs hot lab functions following vendor, departmental and DEP rules
• Calibrates dose calibrator and performs QC on gamma cameras
• Identifies patients before starting procedures
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort
• Obtains best possible images using prescribed parameters
• Ensures tests are performed properly and results are accurate
• Assists nuclear physician with imaging procedures
• Keeps department neat and clean
• Takes on special assignments from supervisor and completes them on time
• Overtime when needed
• Performs other departmental duties as prescribed by supervision
