Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Provides nuclear medicine imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients.
  2. Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
  3. Follows radiopharmaceutical safety standards for patient and operator.
  4. Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  5. Orders, prepares, administers, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  6. Maintains a quality assurance program according to regulations established by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT Registered Technologist RT(R).
  • CPR-BLS certification.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Preferred:
  • One year of experience.
