Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform image scans, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure accurate documentation for radiologists. The role requires ARRT(N) or CNMT certification and CPR, with 36 hours per week across 9 shifts per pay period.

You will operate NM equipment, follow ALARA practices, and support department quality control. Must be a graduate of an AMA-accredited School of Nuclear Medicine.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-accredited School of Nuclear Medicine.
• Knowledge of HIS/RIS and PACS systems.
• ARRT(N) or CNMT certification and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine imaging technique and positioning for scans.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders.
• Perform venipuncture and manage IV access for medications.
• Ensure proper documentation and charge capture in HIS/RIS/PACS.
• Maintain safety and ALARA principles in all procedures.
• Verify physician orders and ensure PACS availability for radiologist review.
