Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current or temporary Nuclear Medicine license as required by state board where services will be provided.
• ARRT NM or NMTCB certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• State criminal background check and fingerprinting as required.

Responsibilities

• Attends departmental meetings and contributes to quality improvement.
• Participates in planning to maintain high-quality, cost-effective operations.
• Performs full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging and/or therapy procedures.
• Plans and executes imaging procedures meeting department standards and policies.
• Minimizes radiation exposure following safety guidelines and regulatory bodies.
• Reports equipment failures promptly to ensure continuous radiology services.
• Assists in patient comfort and positioning as needed.
• Acts as a clinical/didactic instructor per program requirements.
