Job summary

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program, certified CNMT or ARRT NM, with BLS. The position requires careful patient interaction and strict safety practices in a busy hospital department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Registered CNMT or ARRT NM in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• BLS certification required; basic life support for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging devices, ECG units, dose calibrator and related instruments as prescribed.
• Perform scintigraphic scanning and image manipulation per physician orders.
• Archive patient studies and perform quality control on studies and equipment.
• Prepare radioactive materials and ensure proper doses for patients.
• Consult with physicians; present images and data for interpretation.
• Demonstrate patient communication, education, and safety throughout procedures.
