Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to operate imaging devices, dose calibrator and related lab equipment. Work includes scintigraphy, image analysis and advising physicians.

Day shifts, 40 hours per week, in the Nuclear Medicine department within a high-reliability organization focused on safety and quality. The role requires ARRT/NMTCB certification and state licensure, with patient-focused care and collaboration with radiologists and clinicians being essential to

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
Active ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification is required.
CNMT or NMTCB certification must be current.
BLS certification required.
ODH Radiologic License as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Familiar with all aspects of a fully-equipped Nuclear Medicine department.

Responsibilities

55% Performs scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physician.
25% Performs image manipulation and quantitative studies; archives patient studies.
5% Receives, stores, and prepares radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses.
5% Performs quality control and maintenance procedures for scanning; maintains quality control and wipe survey statistics.
5% Consults with physicians; shows images and/or computer patient studies to radiologist and/or cardiologist.
3% Administers diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals within the scope of practice under physician direction.
2% Demonstrates patient care, education, monitoring and overall patient well-being.
