Job summary

US Heart & Vascular is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, Kansas. This full-time, on-site position requires an associates degree in Radiology Technology and ARRT/NMTCB registration, with BLS/CPR certification.

Training is available for radiologic technologists interested in nuclear medicine. Expect patient interaction, dose calculations, safety, and quality control duties.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Open to Radiologic Technologist and willing to train.
• Must be registered with ARRT or NMTCB.
• 2 years of experience is preferred but not required.
• BLS/CPR Certification.

• Explains procedure to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician.
• Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Maintains quality control of all equipment.
• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information.
• Attends required meetings.
• Performs related work as required.
