Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is searching for a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our float team at HeartPlace in Dallas, TX. This position will float to our HeartPlace Imaging Clinic locations.

Responsibilities include explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, administering scans (including PET CT), processing images, and maintaining the nuclear room. ARRT/NMTCB and Texas licensure, plus CPR certification, are required.

Qualifications

  • Degree or appropriate certification training.
  • Minimum two years’ experience is preferred but not required.
  • ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current CPR certification.

  • Administers all in-office nuclear scans including PET CT.
  • Images, processes, and formats images for physician interpretation.
  • Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room.
  • Documents test results to physicians and patients, as directed by the physician.
  • Verifies patient appointments the day before, to ensure use of isotope.
  • Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing, i.e., “do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.”
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Degree or appropriate certification training.
  • Minimum two years’ experience is preferred but not required.
  • ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current CPR certification.
