Job summary

UT Southwestern is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work with physicians in performing nuclear medicine imaging exams, ensuring quality protocols, accreditation, and equipment maintenance. The role includes direct patient interaction, procedural guidance, and a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

A CNMT certification and Texas licensure are required, with ARRT or NMTCB eligibility and CPR AED.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology.
• Must be CNMT and certified by ARRT or NMTCB and CMRT; must be certified by Texas Department of Health and Texas Medical Board and CPR AED.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures adequate supplies.
• Performs high-quality nuclear medicine examinations per protocol and within timelines.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares patients for procedures; communicates clearly with patients.
• Participates in QA/QC efforts and regulatory compliance; trains students and supports new staff.
