Job summary

Essentia Health Virginia Hospital in Virginia, MN, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine, PET and CT exams, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists and referring physicians.

The role requires completion of a CAHEA-accredited program (or internship eligibility for ARRT(NM)/NMTCB) and current licensure. 0.8 FTE, day shift, on-site with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited nuclear medicine program.
• Or completed an internship in Nuclear Medicine that allows ARRT NM or NMTCB eligibility.
• Current ARRT(NM) or NMTCB licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine, PET and CT exams and related techniques to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Independently operate nuclear medicine equipment and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Provide images and information to radiologists and referring physicians.

In This Role You Will Get Too

Provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment of a patient. Performs nuclear medicine, PET and CT exams/procedures and related techniques. Is responsible for the independent operation of nuclear medicine equipment and for providing high quality diagnostic images to the radiologist and referring physicians.

Education Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), accredited nuclear medicine program

OR

• Completed an internship in Nuclear Medicine that allows for eligibility to sit for the ARRT or NMTCB registration

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

• Current American Registry of Radiographic Technologists Nuclear Medicine (ARRT)(NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) licensure
