Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) in New York is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to order, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals. Position Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the ordering, preparation, and administration of radiopharmaceutical materials to patients. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates gamma equipment or thyroid uptake and probe for the visualization for both the structure and function of major organ systems within the body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist utilizes knowledge of radiation physics and safety in the preparation, measurement, and administration of isotopes.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Diagnostic Imaging, UHS Wilson Medical Center

Primary Work Shift: Day Rotational Regular

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Range: $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

Education and Experience

• Minimum Required: Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine
• Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine.

License and Certification

• Minimum Required: NYS Radiologic Technologist license in Nuclear Medicine AND NMTCB or ARRT(N) eligible NMTCB or ARRT(N) certified within 6 months of hire
• Preferred: Not Applicable
