Job summary

Intermountain Health in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking a part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic imaging.

You will work with our clinical team, follow safety protocols, obtain patient history, position patients, and select imaging techniques to support accurate diagnoses. The role requires ARRT NM or NMTCB CNMT and BLS, with an associate degree or equivalent.

Shift: 20 hours per week, Thursday and Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required.
  • ARRT NM or NMTCB CNMT registration required.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures using gamma cameras with correct injection techniques and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Perform IV puncture and administer radiopharmaceuticals via IV when indicated.
  • Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent when necessary, and gather accurate clinical history for exams.
  • Receive patients, explain examination methods, and position patients.
  • Select imaging techniques and protocols to complete exams.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Job Description: This position is accountable for the preparation and administration of radioactive materials for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The incumbent will also be responsible for scanning patients to obtain images of various organs/organ systems to obtain diagnostic information for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment.

Posting Specifics Shift Details: Part-time (20 Hours), 7a-5:30p Thursday & Friday.

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:

  • Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing multiple types of gamma cameras, utilizing proper injection techniques while injecting radioisotopes.
  • Perform IV puncture, and administer radiopharmaceuticals via IV when indicated.
  • Prepare exam room, communicate with the patient, obtain informed consent when necessary, and request an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam.
  • Receive patients, explain method of examination, and position patient.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or a minimum of one (1) year minimum related experience and/or training.
  • Current ARRT (R) (NM) or NMTCB as CNMT registry.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Nuclear Medicine.

Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $39.16 - $60.42
