Compensation: $78.00 - $80.00 / hour
Description
The Nuclear Stress Test Technician is responsible for performing nuclear cardiology imaging procedures, including stress tests using radiopharmaceuticals, under the direction of a physician. This role involves preparing and administering radioactive tracers, monitoring patients during stress tests, and operating imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of the heart.
What You'll Do
- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.
- Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients.
- Monitor and watch for any unusual reactions patients may have to drugs.
- Operate imaging equipment
- Maintain detailed procedure records.
- Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures.
Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
- Education completion sufficient to become ARRT/NMTCB-certified
- Effective communication skills
- An authentic passion for improving the lives of underserved patients and advancing value-based care
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position is in-office, and may include any of the 3 locations: 506 W Valley Blvd., San Gabriel, CA; 18605 E. Gale Ave., City of Industry; 531 W. College St., LA, CA.
- This is a part-time position.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $75 - $80/hour, as independent contractor. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
