Healthcare Staffing Professionals is currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech to work full time at our client's medical center in Los Angeles, CA. The Nuclear Medicine Tech will perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic results.

Pay Rate

$81/hr = $3,240/wk

Shifts

8am-4:30pm, 4 days per week

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assess patients' medical histories, symptoms, and referral information to determine the need for nuclear medicine procedures.
  2. Conduct consultations with patients to explain procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
  3. Perform or supervise the administration of radioactive tracers to patients, either orally, intravenously, or through other routes, as appropriate.
  4. Operate specialized imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and SPECT scanners to capture images of the radioactive tracers in the body.
  5. Analyze nuclear medicine images to diagnose and stage diseases, including cancer, cardiac conditions, and neurological disorders.
  6. Provide detailed reports of findings to referring physicians, contributing to patient treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Nuclear Med Tech certification
  • BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of experience
