Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine examinations under physician supervision. Responsible for patient preparation, administering prescribed radioactive and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performing calculations, calibrating equipment, ensuring quality control, and monitoring patients.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, manipulate data, ensure proper radioactive material handling, perform equipment calibration, and execute quality assurance protocols.
Sufficient education to meet licensing and certification requirements, Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification or temporary license, and BLS certification. Within six months, must obtain National Registered or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential. Preferred two years of clinical experience.
