Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsible for providing quality patient care, including timely throughput of patients and performing their exams. Operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment such as gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanners, including injection of CT contrast media, image acquisition, and reformatting. Also responsible for performing scans and procedures to support scanner qualification for research trials. Creates and programs study-specific protocols including administration, imaging, and reformatting under supervision.
