XingImaging, an innovative research facility located in New Haven, CT, is actively seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing research team. This on-site, full-time role supports clinical trial imaging using SPECT/CT and PET/CT technologies and involves radiopharmaceutical preparation and QC activities.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program and holds NMTCB/ARRT CT registration, with experience in research settings and strong safety

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
  • Registration with NMTCB and/or ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT).
  • Experience performing SPECT/CT and PET/CT studies, preferably in a research setting.
  • Ability to perform instrumentation and quality control with knowledge of radiation safety.
  • Effective communication to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Perform SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging for clinical trial research.
  • Order, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for clinical trial participants doses.
  • Perform QC assessments on SPECT/CT and PET/CT systems and nuclear medicine instrumentation.
  • Ensure safety standards and accurately record handling of radioactive materials per Nuclear Regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job description

This is a regular, on-site full-time position in our New Haven, Connecticut facility.

XingImaging, an innovative research facility located in New Haven, CT, is actively seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to become an integral part of our growing research team. At XingImaging, we are committed to pioneering advancements in neurodegenerative disease research through state-of-the-art imaging technologies and collaborative scientific exploration. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging for clinical trial research
  • Ordering, preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals for clinical trial research participants doses
  • Perform Quality Control assessments on SPECT/CT and PET/CT systems and nuclear medicine instrumentation (e.g. dose calibrators, etc.)
  • Ensures adherence to safety standards and accurately records the usage and handling of radioactive materials in compliance with Nuclear Regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
  • Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
  • Experience in performing SPECT/CT and PET/CT studies, preferably in a research setting
  • Ability to perform instrumentation and quality control, with knowledge of radiation safety
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate within multi-disciplinary team settings
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and detail-oriented

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience working with patients affected by neurological disorders, such as Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease.
  • Experience working with Investigational New Drug (IND) PET research agents
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality research imaging with minimal supervision
  • Solid understanding of clinical research, GCP, GDP, and other regulations
  • Strong leadership, management, and training skills
